Oaky Bay

Signage serves a multitude of purposes, ranging from the highly creative and eye-catching to the practical and informative. Both types are equally important for their respective roles. Choice Homes recently commissioned Portfolio to design and produce signage for their first building at Oaky Bay in Coomera. The signage project encompasses various signs installed both inside and outside the building. These signs are essential for the building’s smooth operation, covering needs such as parking instructions, facilities usage, car park access conditions, car washing bays, rubbish recycling, and general notices.

Portfolio, with over 35 years of experience, has completed numerous such commissions. One of their largest projects was Salacia Waters, commissioned by the Korean conglomerate Lotte. A critical aspect of these projects is detailed documentation. For the Oaky Bay project, Portfolio devised floor-by-floor signage plans that indicated the type and placement of each sign. These plans were accompanied by a master list detailing the size, material specifications, and quantities of each sign.

Good design is paramount, with a focus on readability, functionality, and brand reinforcement. This ensures that the signage not only serves its practical purpose but also enhances the overall aesthetic and brand presence of the building.
